Designed to both look good and keeping you safe on your walk home, the WTF jewelry is synced with your smart phone and when activated sends notifications and text messages to your selected contacts.
Joint with this start-up we developed the WTF iOS app that connects via Bluetooth to the WTF jewlery along with the own company’s website.

1. Activate the jewelry
The device is activated with a rough pull by you or a possible offender.
2. WTF alerts your selected contacts
Via Bluetooth, your jewelry alerts your contacts and conveys your position.
3. Your contacts can track you
Your contacts can get directions to you via the link sent to your contacts, or through the WTF iOS app.

As Apple released their first watch in 2015 the connectivity with physical devices hadn’t really settled. We struggled with the Bluetotth connections and the text message integration for quite some time.
Project Outcome
Unforeseen manufacturing costs halting production
As the project started to reach it’s end; The launch. The production costs of the jewelry and packaging sadly made the device too expensive on such a small edition that the project was put on hold.
A well worth lesson
Sadly the product never hit the shelves. But I learned tons of technical limitations, the iOS developer framework and all the steps needed to manufacture a physical product.
